Position: LVN/School Nurse for Middle/High School
1. What are your daily duties? My daily duties are to administer medication, first aid, assessments, documentation and trying to keep the students' healthy and safe.
2. What got you into this profession? When I was a little girl, I visited a relative as a facility and I remember hearing people crying and screaming for help, and at that moment I decided I wanted to help.
3. How long have you been working at Riverside Prep? What brought you here? I have been working at Riverside Prep for about one-and-a-half years. I came here to help the kids.
4. What do you like most about working at Riverside Prep? The relationships and trust built between the students and I.
5. What is the best part about working with middle school students? The best part about working with middle school students is being able to relate to a student and help them better. What's the biggest challenge? The biggest challenge is to get the students to understand the importance of staying hydrated and eating.
6. What does it mean to be selected as the Middle School Classified/Support Staff Employee of the Month? It's an honor and much appreciated.
